PIZITZ

Completed in 1925, the Pizitz was home of a landmark department store owned by Louis Pizitz, a Jewish immigrant who turned a modest dry goods mercantile into a regional retail empire. The property was completely renovated and reopened in 2017.

The Pizitz is located in heart of Downtown Birmingham in the vibrant 2nd Avenue North District and just steps away from destinations like the Historic Theatre District, Railroad Park, Regions Field, UAB, and more. The Pizitz is connected to the city’s past but alive with the energy of a reimagined downtown.
